About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build systems using engineering drawings, configuration & recovery documentation
Support startup & shutdown procedures, ATP/Delivery, as well as post-delivery support
Support the build and installation of custom cables and wire harness assemblies as well as tray assemblies from engineering drawings and interconnect diagrams
Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Perform detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas
Conduct preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency and quantitative judgments concerning technical data
Travel up to 25% may be required with occasional surge travel periods of up to 40%

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related professional/military experience for Engineering Technician 2
High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related professional/military experience for Engineering Technician 3
Active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards
Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards
Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc.
Physically able to move up to 50 lbs.
Color vision to identify cables and wires
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly
