About the role
- Lead a department (typically 75-150 engineers) within the SDS Engineering organization
- Report directly to a SDS Systems Engineering Director
- Set operating objectives and provide leadership and mentorship to Functional Home Room (FHR) Section Managers (SMs)
- Provide oversight and assistance to multiple business areas within the division portfolio
- Plan for and manage risk, ensure project performance, schedule, and technical quality
- Mentor, develop, and train section managers and department employees
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (<6 years), with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position, managing one or more engineering teams
