About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team on key efforts to develop novel Electronic Warfare subsystems on developmental NGAS programs
  • Contribute to the overall development of HW/SW subsystems, including developing functional architectures, analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements
  • Lead a team to design, develop, build, and test EW components, equipment, systems, and networks in conjunction with key suppliers
  • Responsible for technical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration, and test support
  • Lead and support technical discussions with the customer and have daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teams
  • Guiding the team through development/implementation activities
  • Performing risk analysis, developing mitigation plans, and tracking to closure
  • Collaborate with engineers and program stakeholders to integrate avionics and mission subsystems to meet platform mission objectives
  • Develop supplier documentation such as procurement specifications, statements of work, and review artifacts from the supplier’s development effort
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
  • Support development and integration of HW/SW subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectives
  • Develop integrated HW/SW integration and test approaches across NGAS programs
  • Performing functional and performance analyses
  • Conducting detailed trade studies
  • Perform analyses and estimate performance of components, subsystems, and systems in accordance with governmental and commercial standards
  • Configure, test, document and troubleshoot avionics and mission systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare, Electronic Support, and multifunction subsystems
  • Experience in RF/EW applications, including developing and applying models in Matlab, Python, and/or C/C++, along with experience in tracking and algorithm development
  • Familiarity with 1 or more RF sensing modalities and their applications
  • Experience in decomposing, deriving, allocating and tracing requirements from system to component level
  • Experience with developing supplier documentation, performance-based specifications, and statements of work
  • Experience in supplier/subcontract management
  • Experience with working on a multidisciplinary team and writing technical proposals
  • Experience designing, developing, integrating, and/or testing RF equipment for airborne platforms
  • Knowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
  • An active U.S. Government issued Top Secret SCI Security Clearance as well as Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
