About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develops the acquisition/sourcing strategies and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP);
Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies;
Leads supply chain Program execution and is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution;
Briefs the Program Management Office (PMO) and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance;
Participates in negotiations;
Conducts program reviews with the suppliers, subcontractors and program office;
Makes decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor; and
Working with the Supplier Management Team (SMT) ensures subcontractors have established milestone objectives and that they meet schedules, contractual specifications and all compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree with 10+ years’ experience (or 8 years with a Masters) in defense or aerospace systems and/or management in development or production projects.
Experience managing people
Subcontracting experience including working knowledge of basic construction terms and industry practices.
Advanced knowledge of supply chain management techniques, practices or theories gained through wide seasoning and/or special development.
Typically, a broad functional knowledge.
Experience in leading managers and/or professionals to achieve projects cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
Experience creating and maintaining trusted relationships with internal and external customers.
Ability to travel up to 25%
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance
