About the role
- Responsible for overall F-35 Risks, Issues, and Opportunity (RIO) Management process implementation, execution, and training
- Integrate all Risks, Issues, and Opportunities across three operating units (Production, Development and Sustainment), International Programs, and Functions on F-35 program
- Adjudicate potential conflicts handling ownerships of risk handling and guide the Program RIO Process throughout the entire life cycle from identification, implementation, to realization or retirement
- Interface with multiple disciplines including internal Program Management, IPT Leaders, functional leaders, and Chief Engineering Office
- Own all Risk, Issue and Opportunity (RIO) Management Processes and work all aspects of RIO management at the Program Level
- Own overall quality and validity of all program vetted Risks/Issues/Opportunities and perform independent assessment of technical, cost, and schedule impacts
- Work collaboratively with risk owners and associated CAMs to meet risk mitigation and opportunity development commitments
- Provide horizontal and vertical integration of the RIO SOW for each of the operating units and IPTs
- Execute a proactive risk identification process and evaluate new affordability opportunities and developments
- Ensure adherence/compliance of program RIO process against corporate and sector procedures and verify/support corporate, sector and DCMA audits
- Maintain the Risks, Issues, and Opportunity management plan and troubleshoot administrative management of the program-selected RIO tool
- Develop and deliver F-35 Risks, Issues, and Opportunity training as required and act as primary contact for all program RIO activities
- Lead program wide monthly review boards for Risks, Issues and Opportunity and provide guidance/advice for all RIO related activities
Requirements
- Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience, OR Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years of related experience
- Master’s degree and 8 years of related experience, OR Master of Science in STEM and 7 years of related experience
- Related experience includes professional and/or military experience including project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions
- Must have experience with risk, issue, and opportunity development
- Must have knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally: managing projects, scheduling, budget
- Must have at least 5 years formal Leadership experience in a People Leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to develop and influence project team relationships (preferred)
- Experience of familiarity with aircraft production, supply chain, engineering, software development, and product support (preferred)
- F-35 Program Familiarity (preferred)
- Program Integration and Risk Management experience (preferred)
- Proficient in AS Sector Tracking Risk, Issues, and Opportunity (TRIO) Tool (preferred)
- CLEARANCE TYPE: None
- TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
