About the role
- Demonstrate and instill a strong safety culture in daily operations
- Develop and continuously improve manufacturing processes
- Support manufacturing operations (composites manufacturing, machining, rubber layup and molding, chemical bonding, primers and coatings, complex assemblies)
- Perform cause and corrective action investigations using root cause analysis tools
- Work with concurrent engineering team to create Build-to-Packages (engineering and planning documents)
- Author manufacturing instructions and incorporate process improvements
- Evaluate impacts of product and tooling design changes
- Prepare and present technical presentations to VSET, leadership, and customers for review and approval
- Perform table top reviews with operations personnel
- Monitor production events and utilize SPC tools to ensure process control
- Troubleshoot production, tooling, and facility issues and implement improvements
- Support design, checkout, qualification and implementation of new or modified tooling or equipment
Requirements
- This requisition may be filled at either a level 1 (Bachelor’s) or level 2 (Master’s)
- Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution
- Major in or have majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
- Preferred: overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
