About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • structural modification stress analysis and manufacturing engineering supporting a high paced development effort
  • analyze, research and develop structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design
  • analyze damage tolerance, durability of metal and composite airframe structures
  • provide stress analysis for primary and secondary structure
  • review completed analyses, drawings, and repairs for accuracy, clarity, and completeness
  • maintain and improve part designs, equipment, and systems in support of production deliveries
  • develop solutions to difficult problems that are thorough, imaginative, practical, and consistent with program objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in Engineering, OR a Master's degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in Engineering
  • Experience in Bonded Composite Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
  • Experience in Metallic Structural Analysis of primary and secondary aircraft structures
  • Experience in Structural Analysis Methods and documentation, including hand-sheet analysis, as well as the development and manipulation of large Finite Element Models
  • Experience using PATRAN, or FEMAP
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
