About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees responsible for shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations supporting various production programs including chemical management.
- Coordinate interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc.
- Meet direct budget targets, write/update work instructions, provide performance metrics, and recommend improvements to productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
- Support all Production goals and objectives through accurate tracking, receiving, and shipping with a strong focus on safety and cost efficiency.
- Execute best practices and measure performance through agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Train and guide employees in keeping with all Northrop Grumman Values & Leader Characteristics.
- Collaborate on projects related to material receipt, storage, issue, and transportation.
- Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in support of Space Sector programs.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a Master’s Degree with 2 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a High School Diploma/Equivalent with 8 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
- Basic knowledge of Material Planning or Production Planning and/or equivalent Planning experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company
