About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The selected engineer will be responsible for multiple tasks within requirements and verification and architecture for the AVE Segment.
  • The engineer will be responsible for performing tasks dealing with requirements analysis, develop source data for requirements, generate requirements verification, and help prepare test plans and procedures, develop and review architecture in Cameo EA.
  • Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems
  • Create and maintain SysML and UPDM models in Cameo EA; interface with subject matter experts, analysts, architects, designers, system engineers and specialty engineers to capture Payload Systems GBSD structure and behavior using accurate UPDM/SysML representations according to OMG standards.
  • Apply the principles of engineering to design components and systems using applicable standards and specifications
  • Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
  • Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
  • Develop Basis of Estimates (BOEs) for the systems engineering function
  • Interface with Air Force customer

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of related experience with Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline; 3 years with Masters; 0 years with PhD
  • 8 years of related experience with Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline; 6 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances , within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • 4 years of experience with ICBM Weapon Systems
  • Experience with any of the following tools and languages: DOORS, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML, SysML
  • 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering and any of the following areas: Requirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification Trees Systems and end item requirements validation and verification
  • General knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines: Safety, Nuclear Hardness, Nuclear Surety, Material Science, Environmental, Parts and Logistics, etc
