About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for the NIC business, aligning with corporate and sector objectives.
  • Deliver clear, actionable analysis and synthesis of competitive, technological, budgetary, and business area events and trends
  • Provide strategic guidance to the business units and sector for long-range strategy development
  • Assess our portfolio and recommend areas for strategic growth investment
  • Manage partnership and MA&D activities on behalf of the Division
  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, partnerships, and market trends applicable to NIC business
  • Engage with key customers, government agencies and industry partners (traditional and non-traditional) to identify collaboration and growth opportunities.
  • Develop strategies for new market entry and technology investments.
  • Support business development teams in positioning products, services, and solutions for future contracts.
  • Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to align technology investments with market needs.
  • Provide strategic recommendations on investment in advanced capabilities.
  • Monitor and assess the impact of policy, regulations, and geopolitical developments on business strategy.
  • Engage with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and government stakeholders to advocate for policies that benefit the company’s interests.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail, strong work ethic, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills that ensure collaborative and trusting relationships with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership and technical experts
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and deliver executive level presentations
  • Knowledge of US Government requirements, programming, budgeting, and acquisition processes
  • U.S. Citizenship and a minimum of an active US Government SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI; OR DoE equivalent with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Ability to obtain SAP clearances
