About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare budgets and schedules for contract work
- Assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlooks, cash forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures
- Direct preparation for expenditure projections
- Submit timely requests for additional funding to the government
- Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
- Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management, fact-finding and negotiation support
- Perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development and analysis of estimates to complete
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience
- Experience with financial analysis or reporting
- Experience with MS Office Suite
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- For Level 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of professional experience OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of professional experience
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application preferred
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration preferred
- Defense industry experience preferred
- Earned Value Management (EVM) experience preferred
- Program Cost Control experience preferred
- Experience with FAR/DFAR preferred
- Experience with Costpoint, Cobra, Primavera or SAP preferred
