About the role
- Program/System Level role, part of Requirements team within Directorate of Engineering
- Perform all aspects of requirements management for a single system-level use case that crosses multiple system segments
- Define and manage requirements of large-scale systems, including decomposition and allocation to system segments
- Develop requirements from conceptualization through verification
- Develop use cases through structured, iterative approaches and apply Model Based Systems Engineering where appropriate
- Produce systems engineering artifacts for major system reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Coordinate with various team members across subsystems during development
- Manage risk and opportunity throughout the development lifecycle
- Lead thread-level activities and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Prepare for and support security-clearance-related program requirements
- Participate in program reviews and deliver system-level requirements documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience with Master's degree, 8 years of experience with PhD
- Demonstrated experience defining and managing requirements of large-scale systems, including decomposition and allocation to various system segments
- Requirements development from conceptualization to verification
- Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle with a focus on SRR to CDR
- Skilled in use case development through structured, iterative approaches
- Experience producing systems engineering artifacts for major system reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR)
- Experience coordinating with various team members across subsystems during the development process
- Risk and Opportunity Management experience
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
- Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start
- Travel: Yes, 10% of the Time
- Preferred: Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Preferred: Use of requirements management tools, such as DOORS or Cameo
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE), specifically using MBSE to drive use case development through behavioral diagrams
- Preferred: Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
- Preferred: Experience leading teams
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience managing a large database of requirements across systems, subsystems, and lower-level components
- Preferred: Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical)
- Preferred: Familiarity with Project & Task Management tools: Jira or Confluence
- Preferred: Familiarity with data visualization tools: Tableau
