Key responsibilities & impact

Influence design for meeting safety expectations and requirements for Northrop Grumman Products
Independently analyze and recommend design features that meet safety criteria
Actively participate in the design of products/systems and associated support equipment
Create functional specifications and establish safety requirements for assigned systems
Develop safety documents to support customer and test/operational range requirements
Perform audits of operational areas and report on the effectiveness of system safety program
Evaluate the interrelationship of system safety requirements and concept design requirements to ensure cost effectiveness

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university
14 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 12 years of experience with Master's degree, 10 years of experience with PhD
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances
At least 3 years’ experience with C/C++, Java, object-oriented design or similar software development experience
At least 6 years of using MIL-STD-882E to conduct Hazard Analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills of the English language.
