Key responsibilities & impact

Performing decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementation
Provide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon system
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systems
Evaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manuals
Interface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systems
Use model based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern design
Learn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and Munitions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 3 years of experience with Master's degree, 0 years of experience with PhD
Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
1+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool
1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities
1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation
2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations (for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer)
2+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW (for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer)
2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: Command & Control (C2), physical security, cybersecurity, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2, B-21 delivery systems) (for Sr. Principal Systems Engineer)
