About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and development of products for fast-paced special projects
  • Help shape the evolving data platform within CIDO by building reusable components and sharing ideas on architecture and best practices
  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to translate strategic questions into data products and pipelines
  • Design, code, test, and deploy production-grade data pipelines and models using Python/ PySpark and SQL within Databricks
  • Translate business requests into design specifications and requirements to build data engineering models, structures, and machine learning models that help scale our analytics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar STEM related technical discipline with a minimum of 3 years of Data Engineering or Software Development experience; OR a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar STEM related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of Data Engineering or Software Development experience
  • Must have experience with Python and SQL
  • Must have experience with AWS, containerization, and Git
  • Experience with Databricks is a must
