About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees, who are responsible for the shipping, receiving and warehouse operations supporting various production programs including chemical management.
  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Warehousing, Traffic, Procurement, etc.
  • Responsible for meeting direct budget targets, writing/updating work instructions, providing performance metrics, and making recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Leads a team that has the mission statement to support all Production goals and objectives through the accurate tracking, receiving, shipping with a strong focus on safety and cost efficiency.
  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Train and guide employees in keeping with all Northrop Grumman Values & Leader Characteristics
  • Collaborate with various programs on projects related to material receipt, storage, issue, and transportation.
  • Lead, coordinate, and collaborate with internal and external customers, including local, state, federal, and international agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in support of Space Sector programs.
  • Directs team activities associated with program transportation, including major deliveries (classified and unclassified), and specialty movements as they relate to transportability.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management OR a High School Diploma/Equivalent with 9 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, manufacturing, operations, or business management
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience leading a team, process, and/or projects
  • Must have basic knowledge of Material Planning or Production Planning and/or equivalent Planning experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company
