About the role
- Source and procure commodities such as machined metal, Castings, Additive Mfg., and other components on development and production programs
- Proficient in procurement processes including price analysis, negotiations, policies, and procedures
- Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals; analyzes proposed pricing from suppliers
- Collaborates with quality organization to evaluate supplier quality and reliability
- Identifies opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency through negotiations
- Manages performance of purchase orders ensuring compliance with laws and procedures
- Reviews, reconciles, and approves supplier invoices
- Interfaces and collaborates with Programs and other organizations within Global Supply Chain
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or related industry experience
- Alternatively, 6 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or 4 years with a master's degree
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Procurement experience in Government environment
- Ability to obtain a US Government issued Secret clearance; US Citizenship is required
