About the role
- Define and communicate a clear technical vision for the Launch Silo IPT, aligning all SEIT functions to cost, schedule, and performance targets.
- Partner with program managers, finance, and acquisition teams to develop Earned Value Management (EVM) baselines and monitor variance.
- Conduct risk based assessments; lead mitigation and opportunity exploitation across the SEIT spectrum.
- Directly manage functional leads for Requirements, Architecture, Interface Control, Simulation, and Test.
- Champion model based engineering (MBE) practices—maintain a live Digital Twin of the launch silo and ensure traceability from requirement to test.
- Approve Interface Control Models and installation drawings; resolve interface conflicts with external IPTs and the customer.
- Prepare and deliver concise, data driven briefings for senior leadership, program executives, key subcontractor partners, and DoD customers.
- Build a high performing, inclusive SEIT culture; mentor engineers, promote career growth, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years of related experience or Master's degree and 6 years of related experience
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Experienced in requirements engineering, system architecture, interface control, model based design, and test & verification.
