About the role
- Scanning and maintaining surveillance over the external talent market, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Creating and maintaining artifacts synthesizing the employee value propositions and talent strategies of key competitors.
- Staying informed of industry, talent competitor, and emerging trends related to employee experience.
- Evaluating Northrop Grumman’s people strategy compared to competitors, uncovering ways to improve outcomes across the business.
- Performing ad hoc analysis to provide competitive research for HR initiatives.
- Distilling research findings into compelling stories with actionable insights.
- Communicating insights and recommendations to executive audiences.
Requirements
- Level 2: Must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience – OR – a relevant Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience – OR – a relevant PhD with 0 years of relevant experience.
- Level 3: Must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience – OR – a Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience – OR – a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Deep curiosity and a willingness to pull the thread on difficult questions.
- Understanding of (or interest in) HR domain areas and metrics (such as talent acquisition, compensation, performance, learning and development, and HR metrics).
- Demonstrated experience synthesizing analyses to inform decision making.
- Experience conducting competitive intelligence research or related business/HR research using diverse sources and ethical collection techniques.
- Ability to use programming languages (e.g., R, Python) to conduct analysis and create visualizations.
- Experience collaborating on projects with multiple teams, managing relationships, and communicating findings to audiences.
