About the role
- Drive hardware engineering execution as a leader across the SDS Division portfolio of programs while reporting into the Command Systems Business Unit (BU) organization.
- Implement the vision for design engineering team to successfully execute hardware engineering for the Sentinel Command Systems Wing Ops and Physical Security Subsystems.
- Direct the implementation of integrated hardware engineering process across the CS Organization.
- Drive a culture of empowerment and accountability that enables the team to efficiently execute to achieve results on time.
- Manage all aspects of development across mission/weapon system engineering, subsystem/component hardware design engineering.
- Ensure Hardware Engineering product quality and consistency and manage auditing and oversight functions.
- Provide proactive management of earned value metrics associated with subsystem design, development and integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of progressive engineering experience, or Master’s and 6 years’ of experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
- Experience Managing People
- 3+ years experience designing and developing hardware.
- 3+ years experience with EVMS on hardware development programs
- Active DoD Secret clearance, investigation must have been completed within last 5 years.
