About the role
- Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company operations
- Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
- Prepare manuals outlining regulations, establish procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining records, and grants personnel and visitors access to restricted documents and materials
- Develop and implement security education program
- Oversee internal security audits
- Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken
- Provide direction to security team members to assist with executing their statement of work
- Assist with team members' professional development and growth
- Lead a team of security professionals to consistently apply the leadership characteristics expected of all employees within the organization
- Ensure employee engagement across the team
- Collaborate across teams within the organization
- Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development/mentoring to professionals at all levels
- Develop and implement security policy and standards across the program
- Ensure all program performance objectives, as well as key milestones and deliverables, are met
- Manage program security compliance and operations across multiple functions- PHYSEC, COMSEC, PERSEC, Contract Security, Investigations and Document Control Management
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience
- Will consider an additional four years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time
- Minimum of two years of management, supervisor, or other demonstrated leadership experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge with the CFR 32 part 117 (NISPOM); Joint Air Force, Army and Navy (JAFAN), Intelligence Community Directives (ICD); DoD Manuals, and other related security requirements
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Enabling effective communication with team members, fellow employees, and government officials
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal/external customers
- Ability to recognize opportunities and take independent action to resolve challenges
- Ability to collaborate effectively with security peers and program management team members and work on a team with minimal oversight
- Ability to effectively engage with team members on task completion.
