About the role
- Perform model-based systems engineering (MBSE) functional and behavior analysis for a software and hardware integrated system
- Participate in a MBSE environment to develop system-of-systems requirements via system/component trade studies and analysis
- Contribute to publishing change notices to system specification and update of requirements databases, architectural models, interface definitions, and trace system and Element level requirements
- Document analysis results in reports and briefings for critique and review by internal and external stakeholders
- Create and present briefings within the team and external stakeholders
- Lead system engineering in the development of requirements, model, and tracking status of verification
- Perform detailed tracking of changes to system requirements and verification
- Decompose hardware and software requirements from the Prime item design specification (PIDS)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university
- 5 years of related experience, or a Master's STEM Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of related experience with a PhD
- Strong prior experience with use of MSOSA (Cameo) and DOORS
- Strong hardware and software technical background in architecture development, functional decomposition, requirements development and allocation, and interface definition with system-modelling tools
- Strong background in MBSE and the use of SysML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance
