About the role

  • Inform and inspire employees and drive business priorities within the company’s Aeronautics Systems sector while ensuring alignment with enterprise business and communications priorities.
  • Own and maintain the Aeronautics Systems Employee Communications integrated editorial calendar.
  • Conceptualize, procure and produce a diverse array of engaging content about our people, technologies, successes and business capabilities.
  • Oversee Aeronautics Systems-wide newsletters, including our all-employee newsletter and our leader newsletter.
  • Support employee communications for one of Aeronautics Systems’ divisions, including writing, editing, distributing and measuring strategic and timely business announcements, news items, digital content, articles and other communications.
  • Advise division leaders on employee, executive, culture and change communications.
  • Oversee metrics and assessment for communications channels, making recommendations on how to improve performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of communications experience, or a Master's degree in prior fields and 3 years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong judgement, problem solving and organizational skills, and superb attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
