About the role

  • Development and updating of multiple Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and Interface Design Documents (IDDs)
  • Attend interface working group meetings with the MDA customer and representatives of the assigned external element engineering organization
  • Successful candidate may also be assigned to support other interface engineers in: Developing ICDs for other BMDS Elements, support requirements engineering, use case development, logical architecture modeling tasks as SE department tasking requires
  • The Interface Engineer is a Systems Engineer and will, at times, be called upon to support non-interface systems engineering activities

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or PhD in a related STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for business needs
  • Must possess an understanding of systems engineering processes and principles
  • Demonstrated Systems Engineering skills and experience in interface engineering, including authoring Interface Control Documents (ICDS) and Interface Design Documents (IDDS)
  • Requirements engineering and the development of behavioral models and diagrams, including use cases, sequence diagrams, and activity diagrams, are required
