About the role
- The selected candidate will have the chance to work on C2BMC projects related to missile defense and space missions.
- They will be part of an integrated architecture and systems engineering team working on a multi-company program, tasked with defining the operational, physical, functional, and technical architecture that aligns with the goals and capabilities of the ongoing C2BMC initiative.
- The role involves helping design missile defense command, control, and battle management systems using existing or commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) components while ensuring DoD interoperability.
- Additionally, the candidate will analyze high-level requirements using a structured, logical approach.
- Communicates and collaborates with other teams, including software developers, network engineers, cyber engineers, DevSecOps teams, infrastructure teams, test teams, and deployment teams, on System Architecture solutions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree ( preferred ) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related STEM discipline with 4 years of relevant work experience
- Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
- Over 2 years of experience with C2BMC or similar complex DoD Command and Control (C2) systems
- Experience in developing new concepts and solutions for System Architecture
- Information Technology / Computer Science / Software / Network-related work experience on an integrated team, collaborating with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions for a DoD Program
- Experience as a Technical Lead or Systems Engineering SME in Missile Defense, Space, or Link 16 domains
- Must have Systems Engineering/Architecture with Test Experience as a desired skill, on a DoD Program
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to present technical concepts to a diverse group of engineers
