About the role

  • Assist in leading/providing major support to the entire space segment technical team.
  • Coordinate and optimize space vehicle design, processing and mission success.
  • Troubleshoot and develop solutions to complex problems that the program may encounter.
  • Develop, author and/or provide input to major program data products and other deliverables.
  • Assist with the execution technical reviews
  • Write status and technical performance reviews and reports
  • Be able to recognize and mitigate technical issues and risks while operating within budget and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Top-Secret security clearance at time of application
  • B.S. in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area and 5 years of experience; M.S. in STEM or related area and 3 years of experience
  • Technical experience in systems engineering and integration of complex systems, including space systems development, manufacture, test or operations
  • Previous technical or project leadership positions
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and technical presentation experience
  • Understanding of spacecraft detailed design, integration & test
  • Must be Proactive. Works under only general direction.
  • Independently determines and develops approach to solutions
  • Ability to lead a diverse multi-discipline Engineering team
