About the role
- Serve as an export gatekeeper and subject matter expert on export logistics and export regulatory compliance requirements for the compliant export of defense industry articles
- Provide guidance and support to programs and other internal stakeholders on international trade compliance requirements
- Coordinate and provide expertise, guidance and support to programs on project cargo shipments and complex exports
- Determine, assign and verify HTS & Schedule B classifications
- Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with all internal requirements, terms & conditions, and government regulations governing trade compliance
- Support business continuity and training plans and initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience; candidates without a Bachelor’s degree will be considered if they have a minimum of 9 years of relevant industry experience
- Experience in U.S. Export/Import Regulations, international logistics, operations, project cargo or supply chain pertaining to Trade Compliance, Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage
- 5+ years experience in HTSUS/Schedule B classification
- Ability to obtain a secret clearance
