About the role
- Perform design of structural components and functional systems of company products
- Generally work from under supervision from higher graded engineers
- Analyze requirements for materials, structural component, or functional systems
- Release results as design data after review by higher graded engineer
- Evaluate completed design with supervisor and other technical groups and make modification necessary to achieve the most ideal design
Requirements
- Requires Bachelors or Masters in STEM, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, presentation and critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Requires Bachelors in STEM plus 2 years of related experience. Will consider those with a Masters degree in STEM and 0 or more years of related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
- Working knowledge of computer aided design (CAD) software
- Knowledge of ASME Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
