About the role
- Enterprise resource for sUAS inquiries and support
- Collaborate with the Risk Management team to ensure sUAS are identified, accounted for, and properly insured
- Partner with the Global Supply Chain (GSC) team and other stakeholders to ensure proper sUAS acquisition
- Continually define and quantify the company’s sUAS footprint
- Identify risks due to sUAS activities; recommend mitigation steps to leadership
- Ensure company-wide awareness of emerging and new Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations for sUAS
- Develop internal policies, documentation, and communications as required
- Assist with airworthiness competency and credentialing efforts for the enterprise
- Develop training materials and provide training/workshops
- Maintain regular communication with the company’s sUAS community and stakeholders
- Audit sUAS activities company-wide to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of project management experience with a background in small UAS flight operations OR a Master’s Degree with 6 years of project management experience with a background in small UAS flight operations
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of the FAA’s sUAS regulations
- Ability to collaborate and coordinate with many stakeholders in a variety of roles (e.g., Legal, GSC, Environmental Health & Safety, Security, etc.)
- Experience with record keeping software such as Confluence, Sharepoint, Access, etc.
