About the role
- Lead a team of 10-15 technical staff in a management role
- Administrative management responsibilities include staffing, performance and compensation management, and career development
- Execute < 80% of time in a direct contributor or technical leadership role supporting MDA programs
- Responsible for labor and material execution through cost account management (CAM) assignments when applicable
- Partner with program management to track execution and provide technical leadership to the team
- Ensure proper engineering processes and procedures are followed
- Work with peers and training leads to identify critical skill shortfalls; develop appropriate technical training; and improve team performance
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or something closely related
- 7+ years’ relevant experience (or Master of Science degree with 4 years of relevant experience; PhD with 2 years of relevant experience) within a related engineering field
- Proven skills in tackling/solving complex problems in the context of Electrical Theory/Physics
- Ability to learn new topics quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including managers, designers, scientists, and other engineers
- Strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication and collaboration, team engagement, and organizational skills
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
