As a Staff Embedded Software Engineer within the Software and Digital Technologies Organization you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of the Software Factory - Forge program, developing the next generation of surface combat management.
This includes design and architecture of software solutions with design for foreign military sales in mind.
The system is scalable, based on microservice architecture, COTS hardware, and container based deployments.
The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team oriented with strong communication and customer relationship skills.
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain an interim Secret clearance or the successful transfer of an Active DoD Interim/Secret clearance prior to start.
This position is also contingent upon customer approval of the selected candidate.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree with 12 years of experience, master’s degree with 10 years of experience, Ph.D. with 8 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical fields.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
A current active DoD Secret clearance.
8 years of experience with Modern Software Engineering Practices (C++, Java, Python)
8 years of experience with up-to-date software engineering practices, including: Containerization strategies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Microservices architecture and DevSecOps pipelines.
Ability to design scalable, modular, and secure software solutions.
5 years of experience developing and executing software development roadmaps that meets program objectives.
5 years of experience in facilitating collaboration between hardware, software, and system security teams.
