About the role
- Perform as a Windows/VMware systems administrator for a classified government contract
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers
- Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve system performance and reliability
- Provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space
- Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access lists
- Interact, meet, communicate, and troubleshoot issues with vendors and evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions
- Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security
Requirements
- Active DoD Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum)
- Associate's degree and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree and 0 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree
- Current Security+CE certification, or the ability to obtain the required certification within 6 months of hire date
- Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture
- Ability to support multiple networks
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work after hours and weekends as needed
