About the role
- Counseling on matters associated with the pursuit, capture, negotiation, execution and administration of U.S. Government and commercial prime contracts and subcontracts
- Advising and coordinating with various business and legal specialists inside the company on matters related to intellectual property, environmental, health, safety, real estate and property, human resources, internal investigations, supply chain, export/import compliance, litigation, and employment and labor relations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant U.S. Government contracting experience (Corporate Counsel 1) or 10 years of relevant U.S. Government contracting experience (Corporate Counsel 2)
- Member of an appropriate state bar and/or ability maintain in-house licensure status in the work location
- Ability to obtain, and maintain, a DoD security clearance
- U.S. Government and commercial contracting experience at a law firm, U.S. Government agency, and/or in-house legal department
- Ability to analyze complex legal concepts and communicate effectively
