About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and advocate for the project plan
  • Work with the Technical Lead to identify client objectives and assess feasibility within cost and time constraints
  • Identify external dependencies and build relationships where required
  • Work closely with Counter account management to maintain visibility of progress
  • Advocate for and support agile team working practices, including planning and retrospectives
  • Provide technical architecture direction while maintaining accountability for the architecture
  • Seek input from team members and external client teams
  • Build skills in the client’s technical stack, including a variety of languages and frameworks
  • Develop commercial understanding through internal development and client projects
  • Contribute value to Counter through marketing, talks, meetups, process improvements, project support, and wider-organisation activities
  • Add value to clients through project outcomes and feedback
  • Support consultant development and progression during engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Interest in dealing with different stakeholders while balancing commercial spend and project investment
  • Ability to help internal engineers develop and progress
  • Passion for learning about technology and sharing knowledge
  • Keeps up to date with technology trends through blogs, podcasts, events, and conferences
  • Comfortable working with a variety of technical languages and stacks
  • Ability to develop skills in the technology stack used by the client
  • Ability to contribute as an individual contributor on a live Counter project
  • Interest in developing commercial understanding of project costs and client value
  • Ability to travel regularly to client offices when required
  • UK-based technical consultancy context and availability to work from Manchester or Leeds
