About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on foreign-flag vessels, managing all aspects of ship safety
- Monitor schedules, safety documentation, and manage PPE and uniforms
- Conduct routine ship visits and maintain regular interface with the crew
- Carry out inspections on vessels to identify hazardous conditions
- Oversee the implementation of Risk Management Programs (PGR)
- Develop workplace safety training programs
- Analyze occupational accident incidents
- Maintain control of information related to PPE certification
- Review and analyze internal procedures related to occupational safety
- Provide support for SIPAT (Occupational Safety Week), organizing activities and required resources
Requirements
What you’ll need- Certification as a Safety Technician with active registration/license
- Intermediate to advanced English
- Availability to travel (routine travel for vessel visits)
- Experience in the shipping/navigation or offshore sectors is a plus
