Key responsibilities & impact

Manage claims inventory with higher loss potential and complexity
Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims within designated authority
Assign and direct Independent Adjusters/Appraisers and defense attorneys
Prepare and present claim status reports
Manage legal aspects through timely assignment of litigated cases
Represent the company at settlement conferences, mediation, and arbitration
Collaborate with internal and external parties on claim resolution

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years carrier experience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Experience with Employment Practices Liability (EPLI)
Technical claim management skills
Knowledge of tort law and case law trends
Adjuster licenses in various states (as needed)
Strong follow-up skills
PC literacy, proficiency in Windows, Word, and Outlook
Ability to mentor peer groups or junior claims staff
