About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate the credentialing and re-credentialing process for providers at participating facilities in the assigned region
- Follow Credentialing Department protocols and guidelines
- Follow verbal and written instructions from Credentialing Leadership
- Prepare reports and case logs to verify providers and staff meet facility and federal regulatory guidelines under Joint Commission standards
- Maintain and organize credential files for clinical staff, including CME, COI, immunizations, education, vendor platform, and compliance documents
- Use credentialing software and electronic platforms to track applications and update hospital affiliations and vendor-platform information
- Maintain credentialing calendars to ensure timely renewals of supporting credentials
- Interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders through various communication channels
- Manage deadlines, changing priorities, and productivity in office and remote work environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- IONM experience is preferred but not required
- NAMSS CPCS or CPMSM qualification/certification is preferred but not required
- 1 year of healthcare credentialing experience is preferred but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
- Proficiency operating business telephone systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated problem-solving and sound judgment for independent decisions
- Ability to manage stress and maintain productivity under tight deadlines and changing priorities
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Ability to move short to moderate distances occasionally
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
