About the role

  • Assist in developing premium rates for Individual and Small Group business.
  • Support the preparation and submission of premium rate filings to state and federal regulators.
  • Evaluate proposed benefit and cost‑sharing changes.
  • Conduct pricing analyses and studies for Individual and Small Group segments.
  • Assess the impact of proposed state and federal legislative changes.
  • Perform Mental Health Parity compliance assessments.
  • Provide support on additional actuarial projects as requested.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and evaluate input received from cross‑departmental partners.
  • Prepare and present reports with clear explanations and insights for managers and directors.
  • Conduct experience studies and drill‑down analyses to identify key cost drivers and trends.
  • Complete ad‑hoc modeling and analytical projects.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelors degree, preferably within Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Requires 2+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience.
  • Working towards an ASA highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, R, or similar programming languages preferred.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and actuarial principles preferred.
