About the role
- Monitor and oversee your team’s projects, ensuring progress and sensible development plans
- Manage and groom backlogs, write user stories, and plan development sprints
- Discover new projects, understand user pain points and define UX-driven approaches
- Review UX/UI designs and ensure product and feature quality
- Support engineering with implementation and interact with external stakeholders
- Listen to and understand stakeholder feedback while defending product decisions
- Review team outputs for internal and client-produced assets
- Support sales in assessing potential product development projects, risks, and challenges
- Mentor team members and develop Product Managers’ strengths and growth objectives
- Report insights to the Chief Product Officer and participate in Product team direction
- Support recruitment and participate in hiring processes
- Identify and lead new initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager
- 2+ years of experience managing other Product Managers
- Software development (programming/coding) experience is required (on or off the job)
- Knowledge of Product Design & Development and strong attention to detail
- Familiarity with UX patterns for mobile and web, and design language for iOS and Android
- Ability to adapt design complexity to scope and anticipate technical challenges
- Familiarity with usage and behavioral product data and tracking
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new industries and domains
- Ability to prioritize feature development and maximize team output
- Experience efficiently kicking off greenfield and taking over brownfield projects
- Ability to conceptualize entire products and assess implementation complexity
- Experience identifying product and business opportunities
- Experience leading and mentoring Product Managers
- Ability to set direction and objectives for a team and drive results
- English at Business Fluency level
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
- Excellent written communication and requirements gathering
- Experience using version control systems, especially git
- Familiarity with Gitflow
- Familiarity with CI/CD for web and mobile including app store publishing
- Understanding of APIs and API tools (Postman, Swagger, Proxyman)
- Ability to architect data and create database schemas
- Familiarity with web vs. iOS vs. Android differences and cross-platform (e.g., Flutter)
- Excellent time management and work organization skills
- Experience ensuring quality of product artifacts (backlogs, documentation, presentations)
- Experience fostering a learning environment and leading process improvements
- Bonus: developed web or mobile apps (git repo links welcome)
- Bonus: some infrastructure knowledge (e.g., AWS, GCP)
