About the role
- Monitor and oversee team projects, ensuring progress and sensible development plans
- Manage and groom backlogs, write user stories, and plan development sprints
- Discover new projects, understand user pain points and expectations, and define UX-driven approaches
- Ensure product and feature quality and review UX/UI designs
- Support Engineering with implementation and review team work (internal and client assets)
- Interact with external stakeholders, gather feedback, and defend product decisions
- Support sales in assessing potential product development projects, risks, and challenges
- Mentor product managers, provide growth support, and set objectives for the team
- Report insights to the Chief Product Officer and participate in defining Product team direction
- Support recruitment and hiring and identify and lead new initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager
- 2+ years of experience managing other Product Managers
- Some software programming experience
- Knowledge of UX patterns for mobile and web applications and iOS/Android native components
- Ability to adapt design complexity to project scope and anticipate technical challenges
- Familiarity with usage and behavioral product data and tracking
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new industries
- Ability to prioritize feature development to maximize team output
- Experience kicking off greenfield projects and taking over brownfield projects
- Ability to conceptualize products and assess implementation complexity and risks
- Experience leading and mentoring Product Managers and setting team direction and objectives
- Business-fluent English
- Strong listening, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder communication skills
- Proficiency with version control systems, especially git, and familiarity with Gitflow
- Familiarity with CI/CD for web and mobile and app store publishing processes
- Understanding of APIs and use of API tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, Proxyman)
- Ability to architect data and create database schemas
- Familiarity with differences between web, iOS, Android, and cross-platform frameworks (e.g., Flutter)
- Excellent time management, work organization, and documentation skills
- Experience identifying team process improvements and leading implementation
- Bonus: experience developing web or mobile apps (git repos) and infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP)
