About the role
- Ensure the delivery of projects by coding and managing a squad of developers (hands-on role)
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Tech Leads to deliver projects following best practices
- Work with Product Managers to guide clients in their product development journey
- Nurture and assess developers: encourage continuous learning, perform regular one-on-ones and performance reviews
- Participate in recruitment: screening and assessment of candidates and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to improve recruitment processes
- Provide insights to and collaborate with Head of Engineering to improve engineering skills and coordinate activities across engineering areas
Requirements
- 10+ years or more of professional web development experience
- Experience in Ruby, JavaScript (Node.JS) or Go preferred
- Prior experience as Engineering Lead / Engineering Manager / Tech Lead for squads of 5 or more (required)
- At least 1 year of DevOps experience with tools such as Terraform, Redis, AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
- Prior experience in hiring software developers (required)
- Current active software development experience (must be actively coding)
- Enjoy working on challenging solutions and systems
- Focus on reusability, maintainability, security, and performance
- "Can do" attitude and a product mindset
- Confidence in communicating in English
- Be based in or be willing to relocate to Bangkok, Thailand
