About the role
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional engineering team in Ho Chi Minh City
- Drive technical excellence across projects while actively contributing to codebases
- Own architectural decisions, technical roadmap, and system design
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Commercial stakeholders to align engineering with business goals
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure quality standards
- Attract and retain top-tier engineering talent through strong technical leadership
- Build a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation
- Ship impactful features across web platforms for regional and global clients while remaining hands-on with code
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- At least 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Hands-on expertise in web development using Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Node/React), Go, Python, or PHP
- Strong understanding of system architecture, scalability, and software design patterns
- Comfortable shipping products in agile environments with CI/CD and cloud-based infrastructure
- Experience mentoring engineers, leading code reviews, and driving team performance
- Experience scaling engineering teams from the ground up
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Experience working in consultancy or product-driven environments is a plus
- Contributions to open-source projects is a plus
