Automation Engineer
Nidec ConversionDesign and implement automation solutions for industrial processes, specifically in steel plant automation and port quay electrification, with 5+ years of experience required.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Supports the design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of PLC and SCADA / operator interface software for industrial automation solutions.
- Identifies the software modules composing the automation functions and defines the functional requirements of individual software modules.
- Develops software modules in compliance with detailed technical specifications.
- Defines validation criteria and procedures to verify that required functions are correctly implemented.
- Performs testing and verification of software modules and functions.
- Prepares and issues user and maintenance documentation.
- Performs follow-up and coordination activities with external suppliers, as applicable.
- Executes software and automation hardware commissioning activities up to system acceptance.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical high school diploma in Information Technology or Industrial Automation, or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Industrial Automation.
- Proven experience of a minimum of 5 years in automation systems development.
- Italian: C1 / C2 – Full professional proficiency
- English: B2 – Professional working proficiency.
