About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor
Respond to provide major maintenance and repairs on natural gas compression rental fleet equipment
Partner with manufacturing and field service teams to satisfy customer needs by addressing mechanical and electrical issues during installations, maintenance cycles and repairs
Champion service excellence, HSE policies and standards, and drive continuous improvement
Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by supervisory personnel
Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of natural gas compressor system failures
Optimize compression equipment performance
Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures
Complete appropriate paperwork as directed
Perform duties as trainer when required
Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills
Demonstrate and further develop leadership skills
Present a professional image.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
The ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Employment for this role is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and MVR check in accordance with company policy and applicable laws and requires a DOT physical
Experience as a shop mechanic or field service technician
General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Working knowledge of oil and gas industry, including gas compression sector
High school diploma (or GED equivalent)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with teams, vendors, and personnel
Positive, “can-do” attitude with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
Effective time-management skills and demonstrated ethical behavior.
