About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interacts with clients on a day-to-day basis
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients and carrier representatives
- Prepares applications, specifications, and marketing strategy for new business
- Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage limits, and pricing with carriers
- Prepares client proposals from carrier quotes
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with carriers and clients
Requirements
What you’ll need- more than 5 years of Commercial Lines experience
- recent tenure with a retail insurance brokerage or independent agency
- experience managing a book of middle market accounts (estimated revenue of up to $1MM)
- in-depth knowledge of insurance coverages
- strong negotiating skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- BA/BS preferred
- P&C Insurance License required
