About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Licensing Department.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal licensing requirements for mortgage loan originators (MLOs).
Overseeing timely submission and maintenance of licensing applications, renewals, and regulatory filings through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
Maintaining accurate licensing records and monitoring regulatory updates.
Supporting compliance with all applicable licensing requirements and assisting the Legal and Compliance Departments with research, reporting, and special projects as needed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a role requiring handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
Experience working with state and federal mortgage licensing requirements and regulatory filings.
Familiarity with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) preferred.
Mortgage industry experience preferred, particularly in compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
Ability to interpret and apply mortgage licensing regulations across multiple states.
Strong data entry and record-keeping skills to ensure licensing accuracy and compliance.
