About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Focus on the mechanical development of Alfdex' electric drive units.
  • Develop and maintain mechanical designs, CAD models, drawings and BOMs for electric drive units.
  • Drive the mechanical development of Alfdex' generic drive unit platform together with internal teams and external development partners.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues within mechanics, electronics and software to develop next-generation mechatronic products.
  • Support customer projects, engineering changes and continuous product improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure robust, manufacturable and cost-efficient designs.
  • Participate in technical investigations, design reviews, validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the long-term development of future drive unit concepts and technologies.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Strong experience working with modern 3D CAD systems; experience from Creo is an advantage.
  • Experience working closely with manufacturing, suppliers and product development teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required, and Swedish is considered a strong plus.
  • Experience within mechatronics, electric motors, electronics packaging, automotive or other high-quality manufacturing industries is considered highly valuable, as is knowledge of verification, validation and Design for Manufacturing principles.
