About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Focus on the mechanical development of Alfdex' electric drive units.
- Develop and maintain mechanical designs, CAD models, drawings and BOMs for electric drive units.
- Drive the mechanical development of Alfdex' generic drive unit platform together with internal teams and external development partners.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues within mechanics, electronics and software to develop next-generation mechatronic products.
- Support customer projects, engineering changes and continuous product improvements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure robust, manufacturable and cost-efficient designs.
- Participate in technical investigations, design reviews, validation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the long-term development of future drive unit concepts and technologies.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Strong experience working with modern 3D CAD systems; experience from Creo is an advantage.
- Experience working closely with manufacturing, suppliers and product development teams.
- Professional proficiency in English is required, and Swedish is considered a strong plus.
- Experience within mechatronics, electric motors, electronics packaging, automotive or other high-quality manufacturing industries is considered highly valuable, as is knowledge of verification, validation and Design for Manufacturing principles.
