About the role

  • Support the Central Billing Office
  • Work closely with billing supervisors and specialists, practice managers, and others to ensure optimal revenue cycle efficiency and patient satisfaction
  • Play a crucial role in the efficient and effective financial operations of the hospital
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and superior multitasking abilities
  • Showcase knowledge of CMS and other insurance carrier guidelines, CPT, ICD-10, and modifiers
  • Handle claim corrections and appeals

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of CMS 1500 forms
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written
  • Knowledge of insurance websites (verifying eligibility, benefits, claim status, processing corrected claims, appeals online when applicable)
  • Working knowledge of revenue cycle process; Patient registration, billing, denial tracking/resolution, accounts receivable, local/state/federal regulations, medical terminology, and payer contract familiarity
  • Computer and systems competency in the following areas: working knowledge of health systems and interfaces, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and electronic health records
  • Working knowledge of EPIC
  • Three (3) + years of experience in revenue cycle operations
  • Three (3) + years of working PB experience
