About the role
- You develop embedded software in C/C++ for safety-critical systems across industries such as industrial, avionics and automotive — for example, safety-relevant communication modules.
- You support development projects from kickoff to acceptance.
- As a central point of contact, you ensure that processes are not only documented but are effectively implemented in day-to-day work and meet the project’s requirements.
- You work closely with project management, software, hardware and system teams and advise on quality and process matters.
- You ensure that regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC 62304 or related standards) are correctly interpreted and implemented in a solution-oriented manner.
- You analyze project results and, together with the process owners, derive concrete improvements for methods, tools and our quality management system.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in embedded software development, system or hardware development, or in quality management — ideally in safety-critical environments (industry, avionics, medical technology or similar).
- Very good knowledge of C/C++ and of relevant standards such as DIN EN 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 26262, ISO 21434 or comparable standards.
- Experience with model-based development, software architecture and design (e.g., UML).
- Practical experience working in the PMT environment (processes, methods, tools) and an understanding of DevOps principles.
- Experience with requirements management and traceability tools such as DOORS, Polarion or similar systems.
- Very good German skills (C1) and good English skills.
