About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership across clinical governance, quality improvement and professional governance
Ensure services deliver safe, effective and high-quality care
Support continuous improvement and maintain the highest clinical standards
Work closely with Operational Directors, Clinical Partners and service teams
Use clinical insight, data and evidence-based practice to identify opportunities for improvement
Provide professional leadership for Nursing and ODP practice
Support workforce development, professional standards, supervision, CPD and revalidation.

Requirements

What you’ll need

NMC registered Nurse
Strong background in clinical governance, quality improvement and professional practice
Experience using data, audit and clinical insight to improve patient outcomes
Experience within ophthalmology or a surgical specialty (advantageous)
Credible and authentic clinical leader
Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience in leading change and balancing competing priorities.
