About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership across clinical governance, quality improvement and professional governance
  • Ensure services deliver safe, effective and high-quality care
  • Support continuous improvement and maintain the highest clinical standards
  • Work closely with Operational Directors, Clinical Partners and service teams
  • Use clinical insight, data and evidence-based practice to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Provide professional leadership for Nursing and ODP practice
  • Support workforce development, professional standards, supervision, CPD and revalidation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • NMC registered Nurse
  • Strong background in clinical governance, quality improvement and professional practice
  • Experience using data, audit and clinical insight to improve patient outcomes
  • Experience within ophthalmology or a surgical specialty (advantageous)
  • Credible and authentic clinical leader
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience in leading change and balancing competing priorities.
